Sired by US and Canada's #1 sire, Afire Bey V needs no introduction. Afire Bey V's sons and daughters have been dominating the winner's circle for nearly 10 years. Emerald Afire is no exception. As a yearling, he was named Top 10 at US nationals. Not only is Emerald beautiful and correct, he is also very athletic. He was on track to be a very competitive English Pleasure horse when he was injured during a routine turn out. He sustained 2 fractures to his right front pastern and had to be retired to the breeding shed before he had a chance to begin his performance career.
Emeralds' dam was a very successful Halter and English Pleasure horse. She is sired by the very pretty Bask son, Earth Windn Fire, and is out of a Tsatyr daughter. Her pedigree complements Afire Bey V by adding another cross to Bask and brining in "pretty" from the Tsatyr line.
Emerald sired 8 foals before he passed away in 2011. Five of these foals were born in 2011 so have not seen the show ring. His oldest foal was born in 2006 and she a US National Top 10 halter title as well as several class A, Regional, and Scottsdale titles. This is the only Emerald get that has been shown to date. All of his 2011 foals possess the qualities necessary to be competitive in both the hater and performance arena.
Emerald was a very typey and correct stallion. He passed his size, well-shaped neck, loose shoulders, and powerful hocks onto his foals. Emerald could have made a mark in the breeding world. His legacy will continue through his get.
